I choose to pause and seek wisdom before I respond. When words are spoken to me that I could misunderstand, I reflect with patience and grace. When I hear something that could stir anger or offense, I turn my heart toward peace and understanding. When I see others and feel judgment rise without reason, I remember to view them with love, as God does. Before I allow any negative thought to take root in my mind, I choose to think again—with mercy, with humility, and with a heart aligned with God’s truth.
God gives us patience and grace to have strength to hold our tongue.

“Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue Keepeth his soul from troubles.”
Proverbs 21:23 KJV
“He who guards his mouth and his tongue Guards himself from troubles. [Prov 12:13; 13:3; 18:21; James 3:2]”
Proverbs 21:23 AMP
